Attorney Danielle Feller joined Marcilliat & Mills PLLC after having become the first recipient of the firm’s Bar Exam Scholarship, presented to future lawyers who show promise in criminal law. Even from her first year of law school, Ms. Feller knew she would defend people.
Junior Partner
Attorney Trevor Guyton graduated from Campbell in the Spring of 2021. He subsequently passed the July 2021 bar exam and immediately began work as a private criminal defense attorney, fighting for the rights of his clients. Trevor's aggressive legal performance paved the way to quickly make Junior Partner with Marcilliat & Mills in 2025.

Attorney Brenden J. Kennedy is a passionate criminal defense attorney committed to advocating for the accused and achieving the best possible outcomes for his clients. Mikaela, who goes by Mika, is a recent graduate of Appalachian State University. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, concentrating in Pre-Professional Legal Studies and minored in Criminal Justice. Her passion for learning about law has been evident since the start of her undergraduate career, specifically in the dynamics of criminal law and justice. Mika has been a resident of North Carolina for 10 years and would like to attend a North Carolina law school in the near future.
Paralegal
Gage graduated in 2021 from University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor of Arts. He joined Marcilliat & Mills in March of 2024 as a paralegal to Attorney Miranda J. Mills. Outside of work, Gage enjoys reading translated fiction and horror, spending quality time with his beloved dog Bear, and expanding his collection of vinyl records. Gage is passionate about helping people navigate through the complex legal system and ensuring everyone's rights are protected in difficult times.

Valeria is a paralegal with experience supporting attorneys in immigration and criminal defense matters. She is a fluent Spanish speaker who often serves as a bridge between our attorneys and clients, helping guide them through North Carolina's complex legal processes with clarity and compassion. Outside the office, Valeria is a devoted mom of two and an avid animal lover, completing her undergraduate studies and bringing dedication, empathy, and a multicultural perspective to every case she supports.
