A university student admitted to hiding his Iphone in the bathroom at his school in order to record women undressing. He then uploaded the videos he collected to a pornography website. A friend of one of the students who became an unintentional actor in one of the videos recognized and alerted her that she was being featured in internet pornography, triggering the investigation that led to the student filmmaker.
Tyler Jones has taken a semester off at Villanova University in Pennsylvania, the university where he began secretly recording his fellow students. He is facing charges of possession and distribution of child pornography, putting obscene materials on the internet, invasion of privacy and criminal use of a communication facility.
At least one of the women he captured on video had fully removed her top, exposing her breasts. Another female student was only 17 at the time her recording was made, triggering the child porn charges against Jones.
Initial reports note that the videos were taken during a trip to Switzerland, not on campus, but that Jones eventually uploaded the pornography to at least one or two separate adult sites while on campus at Villanova. The videos have since been removed.
Jones is out on bond and has waived his right to a preliminary hearing in the sex offense case. He was forced to surrender his passport as a condition of his pretrial release.
