Why Hire Kevin Marcilliat?

Attorney Kevin Marcilliat comes from a family of lawyers and has been defending people in North Carolina since law school, where – still just a student – he won his first not-guilty verdicts.
In his early years as a law student, he took on two criminal cases and secured not-guilty verdicts for both, a remarkable achievement. His dedication to becoming a criminal defense attorney was evident from the beginning.
The pivotal factor in Kevin’s journey as a successful advocate for clients was the invaluable guidance provided by mentors. By the time Kevin graduated from law school, he had interned at the largest public defender’s office in North Carolina, the Mecklenburg County Public Defender’s Office, and later at the Federal Public Defender for the Eastern District of North Carolina in Raleigh. Upon entering private practice, Kevin was assigned to defend his first felony case within the first week on the job.
